My Hobbies

Chess

I have been immersed in the game of chess since I was 5 years old and recently have taken my passion to a higher level of play. One of my favourite tactics in chess is sacrificing "THE ROOOOK" (for those who know) or any piece for positonal or eventually material advantage which teaches me to weigh risks and anticipate outcomes, skills directly translating into level headed decision making. Even my roughest defeats do not stop me from trying again, carefully analyzing my mistakes, and refining my strategy. My annoying persistence not only drives my progress over the board but shows/will show growth in my professional and academic pursuits.

Entrepreneurship

Drawn to entrepreneurship, owning a business has been a long goal of mine. Inspired and assisting my father's ventures, we confer in each other for markets to pursue. I estimate budgets, gather data, identify market opportunities, scope competition to assess potential ideas. Although my ideas remain conceptual, this mindset will help me innovate with confidence.

Investing

I am an avid investor, drawn to the excitement of dissecting market trends and uncovering hidden opportunities. The thrill in identifying patterns in markets, placing calculated trades hone my critical thinking and risk assessment skills, qualities transferrable to any profession. Both success and failure teaches me resilience and adaptability, showing that every decision is a chance to learn, grow and tackle new challenges in confidence financially, professionally and personally.

Building Computers

I designed and built my first computer at 14yrs old. Researching compatible components, assembling the hardware, and fine-tuning performence though BIOS and overclocking. Although my first attempt had multiple hiccups, every completed build reinforced my patience and confidence. I built a total of 5 computers, 2 of which were commissioned and with a personal record time of 26 minutes.

The Gym

I love sports, my favourites being volleyball, rock climbing and whilst I play many more, the gym had really hit home for me. Brought out the nerd in me by researching EMG studies tracking muscle activation for high muscle stimulation. More stimulation in the muscle translates to more gains and I was always on search for more optimal ways to improve my workouts and diet. I would love to say that seeing my progress over the months was the best but the biggest impact was on my posture. It has made my quality of life significantly better and although I love the gym, finding a school-life balance has been difficult. I will be back soon!

Video Games

A dedicated gamer reaching the top 3% in Valorant, top 1% of a 150 million player base in League of Legends and top 0.01% in OSU. I learned to allocate resources efficiently under intense pressure and guide my team through what is practically a game of 4D chess, with limitless possibilities. You learn to adapt on the fly, coordinate with teammates and lead through a blend of mechanical skill and strategy. Gaming has instilled in me resilience, teamwork, and a relentless drive to learn both in game and in my personal endeavors.
